SAILING WITHOUT A MAP

A BEAUTIFUL WORLD…

Sky Soft

I hoisted the sails and pulled anchor.  Slowly moving out of the slip, I watched the morning color rise and deepen in the sky.  The breeze caught a wisp of my hair to tickle my neck.  Moving toward the horizon, I marveled at the beauty of the world.

Leaving home for college, I was finally in charge of my life.  The world was my playground, the ocean my private lake.  “Watch me,” I waved back to my parents, “I’m sailing!  All by myself!”

Map?  Compass?  Destination?  I was off to see the world…anything…and everything.  And when you are traveling on uncharted waters, who needs a map!
